Any student planning to attend the Illinois High School Theatre Festival at Illinois State University in January should return the completed medical release form to Mrs. Whalen by Friday, Sept. 4. If you are not sure whether or not you will be able to attend, please fill out the form anyway to hold your spot. You have until October 1st, when the deposit is due, to decide if you will attend. Thank you to everyone who auditioned. It was great to see so many of you come out. I hope I see all of the great underclassmen at the auditions for the Freshman/Sophomore Showcase.

If you were not called back, there is a completed audition feedback form available for you in Mrs. Whalen’s office. Feel free to stop by throughout the day. I am also happy to talk to you about your audition.

If you were called back, please pick up a packet in Mrs. Whalen’s office (C-8). There are multiple packets for some of the characters, so please be sure to get each packet labeled with your character name. We will meet in the choir room Thursday at 3:00 pm. Please be familiar with the scenes you will be reading!

tech crew first meeting!

The first meeting for CGHS Tech Crew will be Monday, August 31st after school in the Auditorium. If you plan to attend, please visit the CGHS CGDrama homepage to print out a copy of the Tech Agreement and have your parent sign it. You must bring it with you to the meeting in order to able to participate in tech crew on Monday. Please see Mr. West with questions or email him at carygrovetech@gmail.com.

2009-2010 season

Welcome back! The first meeting for CG Drama will be Wednesday, August 26th after school in the choir room. Information about auditioning for the fall play, Ken Ludwig's Leading Ladies, as well as tech crew schedules and information regarding Winter Showcase and the trip to Theatre Festival at Illinois State University in January will be given at the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Whalen in C-8 for information. We are looking forward to a great season!

cg drama club senior field trip

Attention CG Drama Seniors:

If you are interested in attending the Senior Field Trip to Steppenwolf Theatre's production of Yasmine Reza's ART on Sunday, June 7th at 3 pm, please email Mrs. Whalen or stop by to sign up by 3pm on Friday, May 22. Tickets are limited, so it will be first come first serve. Ticket prices will be around $30 and we will take the train, so you will also need to buy a train ticket. I will let you know more about it once I have the list of attendees.
