We had a few students who were ill and were unable to audition, so we will see those students on Monday, November 2nd and the cast list will be posted that afternoon. winter showcase directors

First, let me say how wonderful it was to have so many qualified applicants for the 8 director spots for this year's Winter Showcase. It made the decision process extremely difficult. I ended up looking most closely at the short answer/essay that was included with the application. I want very much for all of you to be able to direct a scene, but with 14 directors, the show would end up being 2 1/2 hours.

I decided to try something different this year. The juniors who were not chosen to direct their own scene have been designated Assistant Directors. These students will be assigned to one of the senior directors to assist them with their scenes. This will give these juniors even more experience and a chance to see some really great directors at work. They will also function as light board operators, props and costumes designers, backstage assistance, etc. These assistant directors will be assigned to a director at the Director Meeting on Thursday at 6pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to me today.
