Thanks to all who came out for the audition today. We had a few students who were ill and were unable to audition, so we will see those students on Monday, November 2nd and the cast list will be posted that afternoon. If you are cast, you may pick up your script in room C8 on Tuesday, November 3rd. Thanks for your patience!

Auditions for the Winter Showcase will be this Friday, October 30th at 3:00 pm in the choir room. The auditions will be first come, first serve. Please download the audition information at right and choose one of the two provided monologues. The monologue should be memorized. Please see me with questions.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in auditioning for the Freshman/Sophomore Winter Showcase on Thursday, October 22nd immediately after school in the choir room. winter showcase directors

First, let me say how wonderful it was to have so many qualified applicants for the 8 director spots for this year's Winter Showcase. It made the decision process extremely difficult. I ended up looking most closely at the short answer/essay that was included with the application. I want very much for all of you to be able to direct a scene, but with 14 directors, the show would end up being 2 1/2 hours.

I decided to try something different this year. The juniors who were not chosen to direct their own scene have been designated Assistant Directors. These students will be assigned to one of the senior directors to assist them with their scenes. This will give these juniors even more experience and a chance to see some really great directors at work. They will also function as light board operators, props and costumes designers, backstage assistance, etc. These assistant directors will be assigned to a director at the Director Meeting on Thursday at 6pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to me today.

There will be a meeting for all production staff this Thursday at 6pm in the choir room. I will pass out the scene packets and seniors will be assigned their assistant directors. This is a mandatory meeting. Please see me immediately if you are unable to attend the meeting.
